Tradition and Balance
In the heart of the Médoc, in Cissac, a commune neighboring Pauillac and Saint-Estèphe, Château d'Osmond has been developing since 1987. It benefits from the experience of the winemakers who planted our oldest parcels, some of which are over 75 years old, and from the strength of our young vines. The vineyard now spans 10 hectares with an average age of 35 years.

Environmentally Respectful Vine Cultivation
Narrow-row planting ensures low yield per vine and thus quality. At Château d'Osmond, we have between 7,000 and 11,000 vines per hectare. Integrated protection against diseases and pests favors the gentlest techniques for the environment.
  • Terroir: Sandy gravel
  • Varieties: Merlot 55%, Cabernet Sauvignon 36%, Petit Verdot 9%
  • Area: 10 hectares
  • Average age of the vineyard: 35 years
  • Average production: 50,000 bottles per year
The estate has been in organic conversion since September 2021.
The Life of Wine
Harvest
A key moment of the year, the harvest always begins with obtaining ripe grapes, decided by daily tasting of the berries, parcel by parcel, and phenolic maturity analysis.
Vinification
Classic and traditional vinification by pumping over, as well as a long maceration of 3 to 4 weeks, allows us to obtain a tannic wine suitable for aging.

Blending
Starting in December, once fermentation is complete, blending tasting takes place with the estate's oenologist.
Aging
Our wines are aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and amphorae.
